TS Environment Consulting Partners with Africa Improved Foods Holding BV for an ESIA Study

TS Environment Consulting, a leading environmental consulting firm in Ethiopia, has entered into a significant agreement with Africa Improved Foods Holding BV (AIF), a prominent player in the food processing industry in Africa. The partnership aims to conduct an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study, signaling a new era of sustainable practices in the food sector.

The ESIA study agreement was officially signed by Samuel Hailu, Managing Director of TS Environment Consulting, and Jan Vriens, COO of Africa Improved Foods Holding BV, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The collaborative ESIA study will comprehensively evaluate the environmental and social impacts associated with AIFH’s food processing plant located in Kilinto Industrial Park, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The assessment will be conducted based on the IFC ESIA performance standard and will encompass various factors, including energy consumption, waste management, emissions, water usage, and community engagement.

TS Environment Consulting’s wealth of expertise in environmental impact assessments, combined with AIFH’s commitment to sustainability, makes this partnership a significant milestone in the food processing industry. By conducting an ESIA study, the collaboration seeks to identify potential environmental risks and propose mitigation measures, ensuring responsible practices are integrated into AIFH’s operations.
